On Saturday, I presented Music-Making Strategies for Caregiver/Older Adult Interaction at the ICAA national conference. I was accompanied by John Fitzgerald of Remo and Mary Tolena. The purpose of the presentation was to empower the retirement community workforce to make music in a supportive and nurturing way with their clients. There were experiential, lecture and video components to the presentation.
Here are some comments from attendees:
This was by far the best presentation I have been to this weekend. This hands-on portion (actually doing what you teach) was my favorite part.
–Kathleen from California State at Fullerton
It was very informative and fun. My favorite part was the audience participation!
–Thom from Athens Community Council on Aging in Georgia
The presentation was great. I’m hooked!
–Melissa at Area Aging in Missouri
Special thanks to all of the attendees, John, and Mary. It was fun to get drumified with you!
